Charity Bay Race, a regatta on San Diego Bay, will be held on June 22, 2025 and is followed by an awards ceremony and fun-filled barbeque.
Beacon of Light is a fun evening of cocktails, hors-d’oeuvres and silent auctions followed by a rousing live auction. This event will be held on October 25, 2025.
ElderHelp staff and volunteers work along with Yacht Club members to make Beacon of Light memorable for all in attendance.
SWYC was formed in 1925 by visionary yachtsmen looking for ways to enjoy each other’s company and to share their enthusiasm for boating. Since then, the Club has developed into a full-service operation with nearly 750 members embracing all forms of yachting, fishing and social activities and earning a reputation as being the “friendliest club” in the area. SWYC supports not only ElderHelp, but a number of community events including the Junior Foundation (providing scholarships for youth sailing programs), Captain Rollo’s Kids at Sea and other charitable programs.
