SERVING CUSTOMERS AND COMMUNITY – A CORNERSTONE OF UPS
Starting as a part-time holiday worker for UPS in 1990, Tamara Trachsel has worked her way up to senior management. “I was a tomboy,” shares Tamara, “and I was determined that I could handle lifting packages and loading trucks just as well as anyone else. “I’ve loved every position I’ve held at UPS, and I love our corporate philosophy of giving back to the community.
When Chris Rowan introduced me to ElderHelp and Holiday Angels about 13 years ago, I couldn’t wait to sign up. The holidays are our busiest time, but carving out a day to focus on seniors, to listen to their stories, and to see their faces light up when we deliver the gifts just fills me with joy. Each one inspires me. I love seeing how they live independently, and I’m amazed at what ElderHelp does to make that happen.
Our missions match up perfectly. Compassion, community, integrity, and respect are cornerstones of our operation and values we share with ElderHelp. I feel so honored to be a part of Holiday Angels and serve alongside the UPS crew.
