The UPS Foundation has partnered with ElderHelp of San Diego to bring hope and essential services to seniors in the community.

What were you doing in December 2019–before the world forever changed? If you were Chris Rowan, you were touching the hearts of San Diego seniors through Holiday Angels, and that’s what he continues to do. “For me, it’s always been about making sure that everyone feels celebrated at the holidays. The pandemic didn’t…couldn’t change that.”
Retiring from UPS in 2017, Chris still wears the logo proudly. It was his idea over 20 years ago that UPS, known for excellence in package delivery, was the perfect fit for putting joy in the hands of San Diego seniors at the holidays.
“We’ve had to change a few things these past couple of years,” Chris reflects, “but knowing how much our seniors look forward to this, watching how hard everyone works behind the scenes to make it happen, I just couldn’t be happier that the tradition continues.”
“I had a wonderful relationship with my grandmother. When she passed away, I looked for a place where I could keep making a difference. Being matched with Ginny gives me that opportunity.”
